12: Shell

Ranked 11th in this year's Times Top 100 Graduate Employers survey oil giant Shell has come a long way since its inception in 1833. Now Royal Dutch/Shell is the world’s third largest oil company, operating in more than 140 countries and employing about 109,000 people. Last year the group made more than £300 a second in record profits of £9.82 billion due largely to the high price of crude oil. Shell recruits some 150 UK graduates into a broad range of roles from consulting to engineering many beginning their careers with assignments abroad.
